It snows… it actually snows and we’re snowed in. Yeah! A day out playing in the snow! I could not wait any longer. We sled down our hill to go pick up the kids at the school! It was so fun! Let’s hope it stays on for Thanksgiving!
I love these long weekends! Two extra days off from school. No lunch boxes. The kids had a blast at friends’ houses or Birthday parties! I had some time to read and watch old movies with the kids. I love this one: Bringing Up Baby! I also tried a new recipe: Pumpkin and dried apricots jam…I’ll let you know soon how it turned out.

J’adore celui-ci: Bringing Up Baby.
Today and yesterday were no-school days. Two days to rest and enjoy family and friends. Two days with the kids at home running all over the place. Two days to get ready to find ski equipment: the season is about to start. Now let me tell you I never owned a pair of skis or ski boots or anything related to ski equipment. I usually went to the rental shop when I got the chance to ski. Now, here I am, living in the Northwest, with the first ski resort 30 min door to door, and this year is supposed to be a ‘snow’ year! So let’s get ready. Well, I did not know what a ski swap was until recently. I figured I’d be able to buy skis, I did not give it many more thoughts. Imagine that: it is 5pm Friday night, I am by myself with the three brats getting ready to buy skis for everyone. Big Mistake! That place is swamped. It took me half an hour, once I entered the place, to get to the skis! No room to move, no room to try anything on and the three kids screaming! Yeah! I gave up. You heard me: I gave up. Not entirely, I came back the next morning, first thing. I got lucky, I found skis for the kiddos! Happy me. I can’t wait for the snow to come.

Yes! Vivement que la neige arrive maintenant.
