My kids love pasta and I guess it’s fairly common. A pasta salad is always easy to prepare and I know the kids will love it. So, here I was, 7 am in the morning, waking up and wondering what I was going to do for the lunchboxes. This was one of those days where I really, really, had to push myself to prepare lunchboxes. I did not grew up with lunchboxes and, seriously, I think to have to prepare lunchboxes every day is a pain in…(you know what I mean) sometimes.. As for today, I knew I had leftovers pasta and beef from diner. I decided to use this as a base for a salad and then I included pretty much every vegetables I still had in my fridge/freezer that could be added: peel carrots, shred cabbage, microwave – on fast – frozen green beans, cut the cheese (and I am just writing about food here!), add home-made vinaigrette… voila: a salad for lunch!

Mes enfants adorent les pâtes. Je sais, c’est assez commun, mais c’est pratique. Donc, me voilà ce matin, au sortir du lit, à me demander ce que j’allais faire pour les boites à lunch. Enfin sérieusement, ça vous amuse de vous demander tous les matins ce que vous allez faire pour les boites à lunch? Moi, pas toujours. Je savais qu’il restait des pâtes et du bœuf du diner d’hier, alors j’ai attrapé légumes et autres choses disponibles sous la main et voilà: une salade de pâtes pour le déjeuner. Ouf!
